PALAJ GANESH YATRA
About Palaj Ganesh & Local belief:
Palaj Ganesh temple is located at Palaj village, Bhokar Taluk, Nanded District of Maharashtra (It is near to Telanana State border). The wooden Idol was installed in the Palaj Ganesh Temple is the speciality of this Temple and main Ganesh Idol never immersed after Ganesh Navaratri Festival (instead of main idol, a small Gansh idol is immersed in the river.
This Wood Idol (Brought from Nirmal, Telangana) was installed by the villages to get rid from the Plague desease which spread fastly. After installation, the palaj villagers were free from all deseases including life threatening Plague desease.
Some years ago, village was badly suffered with scarcity of water. At that time, villagers decided to dig borewell near Ganesh Mandir, keping trust on Pala Ganesh. Water came out from the bore without fail and still pouring water constantly with out motor is a miracle.
Lot of devottes will gather here for celebrating Ganesh Chathurthi Festival for 11 days from various places from Maharastra & Telangana
